Leaking Element Housing.

This element housing had been leaking a while before it showed with a wet carpet.

After quickly assessing what the problem was and sourcing a new rubber for the housing, this repair was done quite quickly. Whilst the Hot Water Cylinder was fitted for two elements the upper element was just blanked off. I didn’t have to drain the HWC fully, which left the customer with hot water. After removing the cover and cleaning it off, then installing the new rubber the HWC was back up and running leak free.

Hot water Cylinders are out of sight and out of mind. It’s important to check them once in a while, so that leaks don’t go undetected. Meeting your plumbing needs.
